Here, at ReallyCheapRugs, like our sister sites ReallyCheapFloors and ReallyCheapCarpet, we are in the liquidation business. Most rug stores order what they think they can sell from a distributor, who orders it from a manufacturer as needed. Because each level has to make money, or they cannot stay in business, the price keeps going up.
We operate by a different set of rules. When a manufacturer discontinues a product or sells off-quality goods, their cost of that rug has little to do with what it sells for. The selling price is now what someone will pay for it, and how soon the rugs can be picked up from the manufacturer's warehouse. They want rid of it!
